Terms of use

The terms for using ClearTime and this website, kept short on purpose.

Last updated

ClearTime is made by me, Daniel Schutzsmith (I go by Daniel Hayes Smith). Daniel Schutzsmith is my legal name and the seller you see on the App Store. By using the app or this website, you agree to these terms.

Apple's license agreement

ClearTime comes from the App Store, so your use of the app is covered by Apple's Standard License Agreement. These terms add a few plain words to it. If the two ever disagree, Apple's agreement applies.

Using ClearTime

You may use ClearTime on your own devices, for yourself, your family or your work. Please don't copy it, take it apart or sell it as your own.

Purchases and subscriptions

A timer is a helper, not a promise

ClearTime works out the time left from your device's clock, and it can send a notification when time is up. Devices can still be switched off, muted, put in a Focus or run out of battery. Please don't rely on ClearTime alone for anything where a missed alert could cause harm, such as medicine or safety.

Your information

How ClearTime treats your information is in the privacy policy. In short, it stays on your devices.

No warranty

ClearTime is provided as it is, with no promise that it will always work or be free of mistakes. To the extent the law allows, I am not liable for losses that come from using it. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the law where you live.

Changes

I may update these terms. The new version goes on this page with a new date, and using ClearTime after that means you accept it.
