Common questions

How do I get ClearTime?

Download it free from the App Store on your iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple TV. The Apple Watch app comes with the iPhone app. A sidekick pack or ClearTime Plus bought on one device unlocks on your others with the same Apple Account.

Which devices does it run on?

iPhone with iOS 26 or later, iPad with iPadOS 26 or later, Mac with macOS 26 or later, Apple Watch with watchOS 26 or later, and Apple TV with tvOS 26 or later. Android is coming soon.

Do I need an account?

No. Open ClearTime and set a time.

Is the time still right after my iPhone locks or my Mac sleeps?

Yes. ClearTime works out the time left from the clock instead of counting seconds, so it's right when you come back.

I didn't get a notification when the timer ended.

Check that notifications are on for ClearTime: on iPhone and iPad in Settings, then Notifications; on a Mac in System Settings, then Notifications. A Focus can also hold notifications back.

How do I use the floating timer on a Mac?

Click Float in the main window, or choose Timer, then Show Floating Timer (⌘⇧F). Drag the timer anywhere, and make it bigger or smaller with ⌘+ and ⌘−. Press ⌘⇧T in any app to lock it so clicks pass through to the windows behind it, and press it again to unlock.

How do I restore my purchases?

On iPhone, iPad or Mac, open ClearTime's Settings and choose Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account you bought with.

How do I cancel ClearTime Plus?

Apple manages subscriptions. Apple's guide shows how to cancel one. Plus stays on until the end of the year you paid for.

Can I get a refund?

Apple handles refunds. Ask at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Does ClearTime collect my data?

No. The privacy policy has the details, and the terms of use cover purchases and subscriptions.
